Solar thermal energy is the harnessing of solar radiation using solar collectors or panels.
Through the solar or the panel collector the sunlight is captured and so the energy is absorbed as heat. This energy is transmitted to the fluid that´s flowing through the panel and so increasing its temperature. Is then stored or carried directly to the point of consumption.
The most widespread applications of this technology are heating hot water (DHW), the radiant floor heating and the preheating water for industrial processes. Other applications include water heating for indoor or outdoor pools and emerging uses as climatization feeding pump absorption.
